Award Winning Ghanian Journalist and energetic sports presenter, Desmond Agyemang, widely known as Dr Rock has made history at the 2nd edition of 5star Channel Awards as he swapp two awards on the night
Dr Rock who works with Best 90.5FM in Bogoso was crown National Radio Sports Personality of the Year and Sports Show & Host of the Year
The awards programme is a platform created to acknowledge the hard work and achievements of excellent media personalities who have contributed extensively to developing the Ghanaian media terrain
The awards ceremony which took place at Jireh Conference Hall Madina (Atomic Junction) saw alot of presenters across Ghana being honored on the night
Dr Rock fended off competition from other industry giants including Hot Fm’s Nana Adu Brako, Atinka Fm’s Nak and Fathy Skinny of Angel FM to win the category
In his acceptance speech, Dr Rock thanked all those who have contributed to his career development stressing the media organisations he has worked for all his life:
“Today God has shown his face finally i get to hold this (clutching the award), I am soo grateful to every media house that has given me their platform”.
he then singled-out the Orange Family (Best FM) for exceptional praise saying “ it was a beautiful time with you, enough space and i am sure that is what got me this.”
Dr Rock further said it was a “new beginning” and that he is convinced “God is about to do great things” in his life.
