Perseverance Will Take You To The Top – Tactikal Shifo

Tactikal Shifo (real name, Achaab Stephen) Host of Cheers FM’s Drive Time programme, has urged Ghanaian youth, especially those in the media, to work hard and remain focus in all their endeavours, to achieve success.

He said every talent has its own ups and downs and it takes perseverance for one to reach the top of his chosen career.

The astute Radio presenter gave the advice in an interview with News Hunter Magazine’s Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku, in Sunyani.

The professional accountant – turned Radio presenter, one of 6 children (3 males, 3 females) born to the late Mr Achaab Stephen and Mrs Comfort Achaab, who also hosts the station’s Entertainment power shows, narrated some difficulties he had to go through at the beginning of his radio work.

“At one point, I nearly walk from Techiman to Sunyani, to do an interview due to lack of funds, yet that did not break me down, and today, here I stand, with 13 nominations and 3 major awards as a radio personality in the Bono region.

The footballers, athletes, musicians etc all have their moments of frustrations, but hard work, focus and discipline is what brings them to the limelight ”, he dilated.

Tactikal Shifo stressed that he never paid for his nominations and awards.

“I can swear by my Bible that I earn my achievements through hard work and perseverance, but not kick – backs, ” he said of his 13 years experience in broadcasting, and urged his colleagues and up and coming youth to follow suit.
