Members of Parliament, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives and Business personalities in Ghana have been honoured at the 8th edition of the *United Clergy International Association* Awards held at St. Louis Training College Auditorium, Mbrom Kumasi, for their outstanding contribution to economic, social, religious and political growth of the nation.
The 8th edition of the awards, which sought to recognise, politicians, businessmen and other personalities for the year 2020, was held under the theme: “Being An Ethical Leader In An Unethical World”
Overall, 22 personalities was honoured during the awards ceremony whereby Amansie West District Chief Executive, Hon. Nii Lartey Ollenu received the *UCIA 2020 Community Impact Personality Award* for his selfless leadership, hardworking intelligent and dedication towards Amansie development.
Some other Personalities who were honoured during the ceremony includes, Hon. Collins Augustine Ntim, Deputy Minister for local government doubling as Offinso North MP, Dr Emmanuel Marfo, Oforikrom MP, MCE for Old Tafo Municipal, Kwabre East MCE and among others.
After the ceremony, Hon. Nii Lartey Ollenu, the DCE for Amansie West District, expressed his profound gratitude to the organizers for recognizing his contribution to the development of the nation in two consecutive times.
According to him, this award will rekindle his determination and effort to deliver above expectations for Nana Addo’s vision of nominating him as DCE becomes reality and something meaningful to the district.
In addition, he said, accessing his terms in office as DCE, the kind of developmental projects and initiatives that he has brought into Amansie West District is unprecedented which deserved numerous successes and award like what he has received today.
“Provision of water facilities, distribution of teaching and learning materials, building of teachers quarters for some communities, grading of roads, renovating of school buildings, payment of school levies to students within the area and provision of other social amenities”, he mentioned infrastructural projects that has been done during his tenure in office.
He pleaded for support, asked for collaborations from the residents to enable development the district.
Speaking with the executive chairman for UCIA, Bishop Dr. Kwame Aburam Anoff Sr. said, the United Clergy International Association worldwide is one of such organization that have consistently served this generation as promising beacons of hope and life when it comes to educational development and empowerment of and professionals for effective ministry and leadership.
He said, UCIA in it unshakable determination to help elevate Africans and others globally, professionally and spiritually, has decided to honour a member of Ghanaians for their contributions towards the nation in every year to encourage them on their various professions.
Selection of Awardees is based on statical devices conducted by a team of proven Christian management expects, whose duty is to meticulously nominate responsible Ghanaians and institution to be respected with the award.
