This year the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards will be 20 years and as they did when they organized the tenth edition in 2009, this year alongside the most prestigious Artiste Of The Year award they will also give out an award for that one artist who has done well for the past ten years.
10 years ago the ‘Maestro’ Kojo Antwi won the maiden edition and we are keenly looking forward to that outstanding musician who will win this year’s own which happens to be the 2nd edition.
Hiplife/Hip Hop artiste, Kwaw Kese has expressed his disappointment at the organizers of the VGMAs, Charter House for not nominating him in the Artiste Of The Decade Category.
Kwaw Kese made this comment during his interview with Dr Poundz on the Hitz Gallery show monitored by Kumikasa.com.
According to the “Adodam” hit maker, VGMA’ has lost it’s credibility because artiste like Afya,Becca and Joe Mettle don’t deserve to be in the category.
“VGMA’ has lost its credibility, because i know some of the VGMA board members who are managing some artistes, so I’m not surprise to see artistes like Afya and Becca in that category. But all the same i don’t value awards so i don’t care if they nominate me or not” , says Kwaw Kese.
In the special category for this year’s awards, the organizers nominated Sarkodie, Samini, Shatta Wale, Efya, Becca, Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, R2bees, No Tribe and Okyeame Kwame.
