Born Divine Joojo Darko, Nene Joojo hails from Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana, with a rich cultural heritage from his Akuapem mother and Kroboo father. Growing up in Tema Community 7, Nene Joojo’s passion for music was evident from an early age, and he was destined for greatness.

Nene Joojo’s rise to fame began in 2013 when he was unveiled by legendary highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena on his “DAAKYE” album. He featured on two hit tracks, “Engya me ho” and “Kyere wo do”, showcasing his exceptional talent and style. However, after gaining mainstream recognition, Nene Joojo took a break from music to pursue other interests, leaving his fans eagerly awaiting his return.
