Nene Joojo, a talented highlife musician, is making a comeback into the music scene after a brief hiatus. Born Divine Joojo Darko, Nene Joojo hails from Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana, with a rich cultural heritage from his Akuapem mother and Kroboo father. Growing up in Tema Community 7, Nene Joojo’s passion for music was evident from an early age, and he was destined for greatness.

Nene Joojo’s rise to fame began in 2013 when he was unveiled by legendary highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena on his “DAAKYE” album. He featured on two hit tracks, “Engya me ho” and “Kyere wo do”, showcasing his exceptional talent and style. However, after gaining mainstream recognition, Nene Joojo took a break from music to pursue other interests, leaving his fans eagerly awaiting his return.
Despite his hiatus, Nene Joojo continued to release singles, including “MPABOA FOFRO” featuring rapper Teephlow, “AWO”, and “AGAINST”. These releases kept his loyal fans engaged and anticipating his next move. Now, Nene Joojo is back in the studio, working on new highlife tunes that promise to captivate audiences.
