NPP Primaries: Philanthropist Picks Nomination Forms To Contest Upper Denkyira East Seat

A UK based philanthropist, Charles Afari Mensah has officially picked nomination forms to contest for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in the Upper Denkyira East constituency of the Central Region.

Since the national executives opens up the nomination forms, two NPP members including the Mr Charles have picked nomination forms to contest the seat.

The occasion, which could be described as a rally, was characterized by a procession of NPP faithfuls and sympathizers and also over 200 delegates from the constituency who picked the nomination forms with Charles Afari hits the principal streets of Dunkwa the district capital amidst brass band music and dance on lately January, 2020.

Mr Charles Afari-Mensah in an interview with Kwabena Antwi, the Sikka Fm reporter after picking nomination form disclosed that, Denkyiraman has lagged behind development over the years, and he is humble and affable person having Denkyira at his heart to enable lobby for more developmental projects for the constituency.

Speaking to some of the delegates, they explained that, Charles Afari-Mensah, has the party at heart and has demonstrated to the rank and file of the party in the constituency.

“We are supporting him because he has done a lot for the party over the years with hardworking and humility of we believed he can transform Denkyira when given the mandate in the 2020 polls”, they noted.

According to the delegates, even without any position in the party, he has managed to resources the party with a lot of logistics, so supporting him to become an MP will help develop Denkyira East constituency.

He is currently the Vice-Chairman of Denkyira UK/Ireland Association, President of Boa Amponsem SHS Old Students Association (BAPSA) UK/Ireland branch, and self dedicated philanthropist.

He has a rich experience in communication and administration which qualifies him to contest for the April 25 NPP parliamentary primaries and if delegates accept him, he leads the party to impending 2020 general election.
