Afranie Sarfo Seth, stage name Rany Dopesongz proved at the just ended Eastern Music Awards Seminar and nominees unveiling session which took place over the weekend that he is a big brand to reckon with through a spectacular performance that got the auditorium coming to life.

The event which was held at Lindadoor inside Eastern Region’s capital was packed with artistes and industry players from various corners of the region.

As usual Rany stepped in perfectly styled, grabbed the mic and got the audience thrilled with his hot bangers “Bless My Hustle” and “Alomo” together with his personal Dj, Ken Sparta.

It was amazed at how an upcoming talent could afford bringing on a Dj but it also proved how solid his brand stands out.

The Kofcity icon grabbed two nominations on the night, Afropop song of the year with “Alomo” as well as Afropop Artiste of the year, a well deserved nomination.

Rany however feels he deserves to have been in the ultimate Artiste of the Year category, considering the fact that he had been on most shows in the region and embarked on several radio tours under the year of review, a feet most of the nominees couldn’t achieve.

He also made history by becoming the first Eastern Region based artiste to have won at the Emerging Music Awards after the maiden edition kicked off last month.

Rany looks forward to breaking through and becoming an A list act by next year.
