Shatta Wale not ‘fit for Nigerian market’ – Nigerian singer

Rising Nigerian singer, N2nelly, claims that self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Shatta Wale’s kind of music is not fit for the Nigerian market.

Speaking on Atinka TV’s Jukebox show with DJ xtra and Oforiwaa Saturday, she said Shatta Wale’s songs are noisy and uninspiring.

“The youth look up to us, and other things. 20% of the good things they learn should come from us.”.

“We need songs that can help and encourage people. I don’t think Shatta Wale’s songs carry such messages,” she noted.

She further stated that unlike Shatta Wale, colleague dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, drops songs with good contents and that she would choose Stonebwoy over Shatta Wale on any day.
The Nigerian is currently based in Ghana to promote her new single “Rewind”.
