Strongman Deserves To Be In the VGMAs Best Rapper Category Ahead Of Sarkodie – Obibini

How often do you see an apprentice outwitting the master? On very rare occasions right? Well, I know you have your answer in your head.

The conversation around the VGMAs is heating up by the second and the latest to air his views is rapper, Obibini.
The Zylofon music signee in an interview with Sammy Flex made the bold claim that Sarkodie didn’t deserve to be nominated in the enviable best rapper category of the VGMAs. To him, Strongman who is signed to Sarkodie’s Sarkcess music label should have rather been nominated ahead of his boss.

It’s not just Obibini who is of this view, other music lovers and industry players in the music space have also questioned the nomination of Sarkodie ahead of Strongman.

“OB”, who himself has been nominated for the best rapper of the year is out there promoting his new single “Mind Ya Biz” which features one time BET nominee Kwesi Arthur.

One interesting thing he mentioned was the fact that our producers or engineers deserved a lot of credit for the work they’re doing.

When quizzed by the host about how important engineers are to an artiste, the “Ahye Me” hitmaker said, “Sometimes the things that inspire me to write maybe some instrument in the beat. I may write with normal hand percussions but when I write from the beat, it means something has kicked me from the beat so I have to give it to the engineer for obeying his inspiration and that has affected me to write”.
