The nominations for the 20th edition of the Ghana Music Awards or the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards are out and whilst some artists are happy about their nominations in the various categories, music group Praye is not happy that they weren’t nominated in the Best Music Group category.
According to Praye Tiatia, no group deserves deserves the Best Music Group nomination than them because their group made the most noise in the year under review.
Taking his grievances to Instagram, Praye Tiatia also known as Cartel Big J wrote:
“I have nothing against these guys but this particular nomination list right here is not complete.
No music group’s presence was felt in 2018 than the group PRAYE, just hush tag #PRAYEISBACK and be your own judge. We were everywhere and on every entertainment/event platform across Ghana. After 20yrs of music awards paa?, this is really below the standards, you need to come again. #PrayeIsBack”.
The nominees for the Best Group category of the 20th edition of the VGMAs include, R2Bees, Dope Nation, La Meme Gnag and Bethel Revival Choir.
After splitting on April 14, 2018, the Hiplife trio performed together for the first time since they broke up in 2014.
They released two new singles, including “Gbangbai” which got a lot of airplay and cemented their comeback as a group.
