RJA CALLS ON MEDIA OWNERS TO CATER FOR NEWS REPORTERS.
The Root Journalists Association [ RJA ] is affectionately calling on media owners to take a very good care of their news reporters.
The association has closely observed that most of the news reporters have been left behind by their paymasters, believing is the cause of untruthful and bias publications always circulating on the various news portals.
“Reporters are the eye of every news room, they need better attention than ever, sometimes a reporter does not even receive a pesewa for the month, we believed it’s very disturbing, the GJA and other stakeholders must stand up and fight for their own”, the story narrated.
Furthermore, it is clear that, sometimes when a reporter faces problems ,the management of the company refuses to pay attention to them , leaving them orphans whilst on duty.
” In fact its very disheartening , if a reporter is in trouble , no one fights for him / her they are always left to their own fate to fight ,meanwhile, he/ she works for a company, managers must act now and ensure a better living condition for their reporters “, the information stated.
