Just a few minute after Emark fm officially pulling out of the maiden edition of the Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards (ERMEA) the organizers has come out to clear the airwaves the awards is in to award quality in radio broadcast but not to create quarrel.
This is the full statement they released after the pull out:
Projecting radio broadcasting in the East and not to bring quarrel between media houses. We tried our best to give nominations to all radio stations in koforidua zone. Unlike other awards that some stations wasn’t nominated at all. If someone starts something in the East, let’s all help to support and project it but not to pull it down. Thank you to the management of Emark fm but we are kindly reminding that ERMEA was not created for competition or for quarrel but for projecting an development of the East

Few days after the released of nomination list for the maiden edition of Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards(ERMEA),the biggest media awards scheduled for August 5,management of Emak 97.7 have urged organizers for immediate removal of their name from the list.
Today on the station’s Mid-Morning show,Obofour announced it that it’s a collective management and staff decision to boycott the award because their expectations were not met.
However,Kumikasa.com’s sources have it that Emak FM’s boycotting the event is as a result of the station’s displeasure on the nomination list,therefore,they’ve advised all their listeners to stay away from the awards and have instructed the organizers to take them out from the list immediately.
Emak Fm secured three nominations at the Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards.
