Renowned Ghanaian MC and entertainment pundit, MC PreLa, has picked RuffTown Records artist, Wendy Shay, to win Artist of the Year (AOTY) at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).Music & Audio

Speaking during a conversation on Loud In GH with DJ Prym on SKY 96.7 FM in Sunyani, PreLa noted that the SHAY GANG honcho stands out above all the other nominees in the Artist of the Year (AOTY) category.
According to her, the RuffTown Records artist had the highest audience appeal and popularity, adding that her “Ready” album amassed over 50 million streams across streaming platforms.
Her annual SHAY Concert also drew over 100,000 people to West Hills Mall in November last year (2025), before winning the “Best Female Artist in West Africa” at the 9th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in January 2026, she added.
