    Ghana Getting No Nominations At 2019 BET Awards Disappointing – Naf Kassi


    Ghanaian Singer Naf Kassi says, Ghanaian artistes not receiving any nomination at this year’s BET Awards was unexpected.

    Speaking in an interview with Afro360News, the “Odo” hitmaker said she was surprised Ghana was left out.

    “It’s disappointing. We want people to represent us on the international scene and it’s sad we had no nomination,” she told Roy Dannison.

    She noted that in 2018, many Ghanaian songs crossed the borders. He found difficult to understand the algorithm used for artistes nominated for the Best International Act category of the BET.

    “We had lots of hits and it was a very good year so I don’t know why that happened but we just have to work harder”, she said.

    Naf kassi is currently promoting her latest single which she calls it ODO and was produced by award winning producer, Jake on da Beatz

    Banning Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy Gives Me An Opportunity – Danso Abiam

    “Farmer” hit maker Danso Abiam seems to be happy with the decision the organizers of the VGMAs has taken concerning the chaos Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale caused at this year’s VGMA.

    Charterhouse released a press statement yesterday May 23, 2019 banning the two dancehall artistes and stripping them of the awards won at the 20th edition.

    Danso Abiam reacting to this news seems to be happy. In an interview with kumikasa.com , he disclosed that, banning this two giants is a great opportunity for him to win the 2020 artiste of the year as he promised.

    “I’m happy for this development and it’s now time for me to re-ascend my throne. Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have prevented some of us from winning and banning them is a great opportunity for us” he said

    Banning Stonebwoy And Shatta Wale From VGMA Will Bring VGMAs Down- Afrikaba Ronnie


    Upon all the harm caused by the two giant musicians in Ghana now Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale, its not the right decision for the organizers ( Chater House) to banned them from the scheme.

    As the case stands now, I don’t see any effects on the two reggae-dancehall rivals but it goes down to bring Vodafone Ghana Music Awards into its grave. From the pace at which these artistes are moving with their fan base, any other awards organisers that will take the opportunity to involve them will take the fame of VGMA away.

    Personally I suugest charter house could have sat them down and set peace pipe among them by letting them sign a peace bond backed by a legal means.

    In all I think MUSIGA can handle this issue in a nice way to bring improvements into the Ghana music industry rather than letting the organizers take such a decision.
