Lucky Mensah Discovered Me – Queen Haizel

I realised I had the talent to do music when I was very young but i was very timid because of my pass experience which even made it very difficult to go out there to mingle with my female friends.

I met Lucky Mensah in my neighbourhood at Kwabenya when I wanted to get myself a loaf of bread least did I know he owned that shop. I couldn’t hide my feeling so I told him how much I love his musics, this was somewhere 2015 and it feels like I just met him. I always feel happy when I remember he discovered me.

I never told him I had the dream of becoming a musician, but anytime I met him at his shop I told him how much I like his songs.

There was this day he asked me to come over and help him bake some bread and whiles kneading I was singing. He got surprised when he heard my voice, so that was when I told him about my dream of becoming a musician so he later took me to the studio. I got the chance to enter the recording studio because of him.

Lucky Mensah actually wanted me to do highlife because of the powerful voice I possess he took me through lot of training until I released my first professional single #Bravo in 2016.

  • GHANAIAN FEMALE MUSICIANS DON’T OWN THEIR PERSONALITIES – KIYO DEE

GHANAIAN FEMALE MUSICIANS DON’T OWN THEIR PERSONALITIES – KIYO DEE

Kiyo Dee, an emerging Hip-hop and Afro-pop musician named his top 5 favorite Ghanaian musicians. His list which consists of all-male musicians is because most female artists do not own their personality in their music.

The storytelling musician, born Daniel Agyepong in an interview with
www.atmogh.com is biased towards male musicians because the female musicians have not been able to tell their stories in their songs.

“Until I see the female artists own their personality, I won’t be able to pick any as my favorite. The females have not really decided to do that yet through their music and I blame the country but not them,” he said.

Kiyo Dee who mentioned King Promise, R2Bees, La Meme Gang, Sarkodie and Alli as his favorite Top 5 was quick to add that Efya and MzVee are female musicians he loves. His love for them is such that he would want them to stick to love music if that is what they want to sing about but should desist from always singing about a guy who hurts them. The musicians should go beyond what their fans already know about them to a new discovery of who they are.

“The female acts right now haven’t transcended to telling stories about things we already don’t know about them and that’s a disconnect for me,” he said.

“The reason I will pick any of them and their songs is because I would like to know more about them (females). What we need now is that inspiration, where someone tells you, you can make it like how Kwesi Arthur got up from here and went to get it for us. That kind of energy is what I’m expecting from them,” Kiyo Dee added.

Kiyo Dee who has an unwavering passion for music explains that, through music, he is able to create his own world and feels good in making something out of nothing.

He was signet to Speech Production in 2017 and has since released his 11 tracks debut EP titled Free Books Sold: NEPTune Panthera. He has also since signed under Speech Production released 4 singles with their videos: Lost ft. Ras Biggie, 8 O’clock, Juice and Too Wrong

The visual of ‘Closer’ ft. Alli on the Free Books Sold EP was premiered on 4Syte TV.

Shatta Wale would be dead if we were in Jamaica–Stonebwoy threatens

The unconfirmed claim that Shatta Wale accused Stonebwoy of killing his own mother seems to have greatly infuriated the Burniton Music boss.

Stonebwoy stated that Shatta Wale would have lost his life for such an accusation if they were both residents of Jamaica where gangsterism is- prevalent.

“When you talk about my mother… if it was in Jamaica, Shatta Wale would be dead by now,” Stonebwoy told King Lagazee on Yaad Settings on Hitz FM.

The BET award-winner dared all his accusers including Shatta Wale to spew these words of accusation directly in his face.

“I am waiting for one person to come and stand in front of me including himself (Shatta Wale) and say I killed my mother. It will be beautiful in this Ghana,” he dared.

Stonebwoy also claimed that Shatta Wale was nearly lynched in London during an event for disrespecting him.

According to the Burniton Music Boss, the ‘Kakai’ hitmaker was spared due to the intervention of Ghanaian broadcaster, Bola Ray.

In 2017, Shatta Wale openly insulted some Ghanaian acts including Stonebwoy during his performance at Ghana Meets Naija concert in London.

Reports indicated that Shatta Wale was nearly attacked after the show for alleging that Stonebwoy murdered his mother
