ERMEA AWARDS: Who Wins The Most Valuable Personality of the Year at 2017 ERMEA ?

The maiden edition of the Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards comes off next month, August 5th at the Linda Door Plaza in Koforidua-Eastern Region.

Organisers will seek to reward deserving players in the radio fraternity.But today we are looking at the biggest category and that’s the “Most Valuable Personality of the year” category.

In contention for the most valuable personality of the Year are Londona,Bishop Agbey Junior,Justina,KrobeaAsante,Eugene Akoto Bamfo,Dr Prekese and 024.

A lot of people have already ruled out Krobea Asante of Rite 90.1 since he is no more on radio.Now the big question is “Who Wins The Most Valuable Personality Of The Year” Award ?

Meet the top seven(7) personalities nominated for this category

Dr Prekese

Coax radio personality Danny Kwame Dwumah-Mensah,popularly known as Dr Prekese is the host of “Gyaso Gyaso” on Bryt 99.1 fm.Married to Gifty Sampong with two children; Jason and Yolanda. Dr Prekese has been doing radio since 1999.He is nominated in the Most Valuable Personality of the year category.Considering Doctor Prekese’s performance under the year of review Some of us think he deserves to win the most valuable personality of the year award.

Londona

According to him,his desire is to imbibe his rich experience and knowledge into the minds of others up coming presenters.He is the host of the drive time show on kingdom 101.9 Fm dubbed “Y3 wo krom” every weekdays from 3:00pm to 6;00pm.He is also the host of Pimpinaa Entertainment show on Saturday.He prowess has earn him three categories in the upcoming ERMEA Awards.Which we think he can also surprise his colleagues.

Bishop

Astute radio personality,Bishop Agbey Junior of Radio1 fm 100.7 who on the 1st,April,2017 took home the “best drive time host” of the year award at the sixth edition of the Foklex Media Awards in kumasi is also in this stiff competition.Bishop Agbey Junior is the host of “Ayekoo” the finest drive time show in Eastern Region here.Already holding the title as the best drive time host in Eastern Region,and also a nominee in this same award scheme,we think Bishop Agbey Junior is likely to win the best drive time host.

Maltifurious radio personality 024 is one of the nominated presenters in the Most Valuable Personality of the year category.After joining Ofie Fm,He is able to win more listeners from the mass market with his unbridled sense of humor, smooth voice when he is on radio.He is the host of the drive time show on Ofie 105.9 dubbed “Efie ne Fie” from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on weekdays.With two nominations in this years edition of ERMEA Awards,024 is surely taken one award on the night.

Krobea Asante

Krobea Asante of Rite 90.1 Fm,a Somanya based radio station has is able to impact what he has onto others and to development to lives in the rural setting.His incisive questioning abilities and the awesome tact in presentation when on radio is one of the best.He was the former host of the morning show dubbed “morning ride” which airs from 6:00am to 10:00am on Rite 90.1.As mentioned earlier,people have already pulled him out because he is no more on radio.But we think he is the best forthis category.

Eugene Akoto Bamfo

Eugene Akoto Bamfo is the morning show host on Nkawkaw based radio station-Agoo 96.9 fm. The show also stands out for its intriguing regular studio panel made up of celebrated headline news makers.
Eugene Akoto Bamfo has the power to command his panels. He has remained apolitical although he maintains a good rapport with almost every known political figure in the country.From our point of view,we think Eugene Akoto Bamfo stands tall in this category.

We have a lot of female radio personalities who are doing great outside Accra and Justina of Obuoba Fm 91.9 is such ilk.She is one of the female radio personalities in Eastern Region as it stance now.He is the host of Obouba fm’s Mid morning show dubbed.
