The issue of song-stealing is not new to the industry and so long as the industry continues to fledge, accusations of artistes stealing songs will also persist but it is worrying if one name is always mentioned anytime the issue of song-stealing comes up.
Rapper Opanka has also added his name to the long list of Ghanaian artistes after he is been accused of stealing an underground artiste work which he was featured on it.
Opanka after headlining news papers with his “wedding Car” banger is in the news again with his song which features Kwame Eugene under serious questioning.
According to rapper Raemix, he said ” ‘Boo bi y3 d3’ is my song which I featured Opanka,after recording the song, it needed some major boosting and mastering so Management decided to keep the song so that engineers work on it but later I heard my own song on radio hearing Opanka as the crooner”-says rapper Raemix.
According to him, he was overly aghast when he heard the release of ‘Boo bi y3 d3″ on air as a song belonging to Opanka.
He however added that,all efforts to reach Opanka are in vain because he is not picking our calls.
But after Kumikasa.com listening to the two songs,the similarities in them were obviously striking and it was clear that one of them had stolen the song from the other.
