DREDGING WORKS IN PARTS OF TUBA AND RESHAPING OF GALILEA AND DANCHIRA TOWN ROADS-BY THE GA SOUTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

DREDGING WORKS AT TUBA
As part of measures to reduce the annual flooding that occurs within within Tuba in the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro constituency due to its low lying nature, the Municipal Assembly through its Department of Urban Roads on Wednesday 20th October, 2021 began dredging works in the community to ensure easy flow of water into established drainage systems.

It must however be stated that these are stop gap measures to ease the impact of the rains on residents until a permanent storm drain is constructed.

RESHAPING OF GALILEA TOWN ROADS

It would be noted that the Galilea Roads which has been awarded for rehabilitation about two (2) years ago has stalled for sometime now. Due to the frequent rains over the last few weeks, residents have had to endure serious difficulties in plying the roads within the community.

Within support of some benevolent residents in the community, the Ga South Municipal Assembly once again through its Department of Urban Roads following up on complaints by residents from 15th to 17th October, 2021 supervised filling and reshaping works to make the road motorable whiles working on the contractor to return to site and continue with compacting and sealing works.

GRADING AND SPOT IMPROVEMENT OF DANCHIRA ROADS

Roads leading to Amuman and other communities in the Danchira Electoral Area within the Domeabra Obom constituency has been given a facelift to reduce the inconveniences residents go through on daily basis in attending to their duties.

The already bad roads were made worse due the persistent rains experienced over the last couple of weeks.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Joseph Nyarni Stephen is assuring all residents in other affected areas within the municipality that attention will be given to emerging gullies and flood prone areas in their communities whiles working with the necessary stakeholders to ensure more lasting solutions are implemented within the shortest possible time.
