ERMEA : Who Wins The Female Presenter Of The Year ?

The maiden edition of the Eastern Region Media Excellence Awards comes off this month, August 5th at the Linda Dor Plaza in Koforidua-Eastern Region.

Organisers will seek to reward deserving players in the radio fraternity.But today we are looking at one of the biggest/competitive category and that’s the “Female Presenter of the year” category.

Silky voice Maame Pokua(MP) formerly works with Suhum based radio station Thank U fm. Currently,she is working with Kingdom fm as a mid morning host.Her passion,love for radio and unique personality has earned her nominations for prestigious ERMEA awards.She host Kingdom Fm’s Mid-Morning Show dubbed “Adwuma Mmere Ni” every weekdays from 10:am to 12:00pm.

Justina Ansah

We have a lot of female radio personalities in Eastern Region who are doing marvelously good and Justina Ansah of Obouba 91.7 Fm is one of such personalities.Justina is one of the most heard voices on Obouba 91.7 and a top-notch classy presenter as well as radio is concern in Eastern.She is the host of the stations mid morning show from 10:00am to 12:00pm(Week days).

Royal Mama Cita

Royal Mama Cita well known by her fans as Obaa Puyol is one of the ilk of personalities when we are talking about radio in Eastern Region.She is known for her well-researched and intensive interview skills on radio.Royal Mama Cita is the co-host W’adwuma be seen on Bryt 99.1 which airs from 9:30 to 11:50am(weekdays)

Agyewodin Akosua Sakyibea

Agyewodin Akosua Sakyibea of radio1 100.7 Can not be left unmentioned when talking about prominent female radio personalities in the region.Agyewodin’s dedicated following comes from its blend of music and use of callers on a segment on his show “I don’t think far”.She is the host of Radio1 Fm’s mid morning show which airs from 10:am to 12:00pm.

Celestine

Though female presenters don’t always get their due in a patriarchal industry, there’s no shortage of women who can hold their own behind the console when they are on radio and I must confess Celestine,the Mid morning host of Rite 90.1 fm is one of them.

Maame Tiwaa

Maame Tiwaa is also one of the best female presenters in the region we can’t leave  her out. She is one of the prominent and top females known for their radio prowess.She is also one of the most notable female radio personalities as far as Eastern region radio is concern.She is the host of “Wo Mpotem Te Sen” on Ofie 105.9 from airing from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Abena Pokua Ahwene

If am ask to predict my winner for this particular category, I will by all means go for Abena Pokua Ahwene Seriously because Abena Pokua has endeared herself to her listeners with her unique sense of humor, exceptionally good playlists and rich programme content.she is one of the most listened to voice on Agoo Fm.
