Sylvia Owhue Tyson is Ghanaian Gosepl singer, songwriter, worship leader, magnate and a philanthropist. She hails from Big Ada in the Greater Accra Region and also Akyem Manso in the Eastern Region.
The ‘Osombo’ hit maker commenced her musical journey at age six. She had the suitable time to perform with then great Gospel artistes Getty and Friends, whom she was instigated to them by her usher. Getty and Friends asked Sylvia what she would like to do in the future, she replied ‘ I would like to sing’
This made Getty and Friends became so enraptured, they prayed for Sylvia, persuaded her to go out there, proclaim God’s greatness through music.
Sylvia more distanced on her journey to then TV3 mentor program which was summoned on TV3, during these era in Sylvia’s life, she didn’t abandoned her education, she was a proud student of then Koforidua Polytechnic, now Koforidua Technical University.
Tyson performed at Nacee’s studios unveiling day in Accra, also performed in Nigeria, about 13 states.
She performed at the late Brother Philip’s funeral live band.
Sylvia is associated with relevant artistes like; Rev Obaapa Christy, Ewura Abena, also legendary Ghanaian producer Fred Kyei Mensah of Fredyma’s studios ( who is her current producer)

She said ‘one will never advance by spurning what God actually crafted him or her to do’
Owhue Tyson Sylvia has situated a philanthropic foundation, termed as STDM foundation, aimed to give out to the aged and orphans.
