Ghanaian Kwame Yogot is out with a new single, I’m feeling okay, quite different from his usual rap style. Speaking to Giovani on 3FM Drive about his creative process, Kwame Yogot revealed that he doesn’t write his songs down on paper before patching up the lyrical pieces in the studio.

According to Kwame Yogot, it gets inspiration from several things, including the beat, vibe and energy, at the moment.

“I don’t write most of my songs. I’m not a good writer. I wouldn’t know what to write if you gave me a pen and paper. I listen to the beat and slip into the vibe.”

Once known as a rapper, Kwame Yogot may be venturing into the singsong lane after a recommendation from renowned music producer Da’ Hammer.

“I thought I could only sing the chorus but not the whole song. Then Hammer called and said, Charle, your song is strong. But I should try and sing through. So I called the engineer, and we went to the studio.”

After his recording, Kwame Yogot said he was surprised he could put such a beautiful piece together, citing that the song even got an endorsement from DJ Azonto at the studio before hitting the playlists.
