Producer and Highlife musician Bisa Kdei has disclosed in an interview with DJ Edu on BBC Radio 1Xtra This Is Africa,on the 5th day of February 2023 that, it is difficult selling ‘Highlife’ in Ghana.
According to the “Jw3 Jw3” singer, the young people of current dispensation are of the thought that, the genre belongs to the older generation.
He also said, in order to make it more acceptable and appealing to the new generation, he put together the new and old style to produce his hit songs ‘Mansa’ and ‘Brother’.
Bisa Kdei who became popular with scores on numerous local and international movies is out again with a brand new album dubbed ‘Original’
The 14-track project featured Camidoh, Kidi, Stonebwoy, Sefa and Memphis Depay.
The ‘Odo Carpenter’ hitmaker warmly credited the highlife originators of Ghana for bringing such a unique genre into existence.
